CAOUS to change its name to Centre for Quantum and Optical Science

CAOUS will change its name on 1 January 2014 to the Centre for Quantum and Optical Science. The centre has been named CAOUS, the Centre for Atom Optics and Ultrafast Spectroscopy for twelve years, during which time the scope of the work of the Centre has broadened, particularly with the Applied Optics and Theoretical Physics groups joining the Centre. The new name reflects this broader focus. The timing coincides with the major structural changes occurring within Swinburne, but other than the name change it is business as usual for CQOS.
